Hi, my name is

Pascal.

I’m an economist and statistician/data scientist mainly interested in Political Economy and Econometrics.

About Me

I am a PhD student at the Chair of Empirical Economics at Trier University, Germany, and currently a Visiting Student at the University of Oxford (Jesus College).

My primary research interests are in political economy, with particular emphasis on international conflicts and regime dynamics, as well as in applied statistics and econometrics.

I hold an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics and an M.A. in International Economics & Public Policy, alongside undergraduate degrees in Economics (B.Sc.) and Political Science (B.A.). During my bachelor’s and master’s studies, I spent exchange semesters at HEC Liège (Belgium), Istanbul Technical University, and Istanbul Kültür University (Turkey).

In addition to my academic work, I am the co-founder of a small SaaS company that develops and hosts Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) web services (ViOffice). Alongside my PhD, I have worked at the Big Data Department of the Leibniz Institute for Psychology. Earlier in my career, I gained practical experience through internships in Luxembourg and at the European Parliament in Brussels.
